I first met Neal back at a Clan reunion BBQ, not too long after he and Anna had got together. We all hit it off instantly, and Neal quickly became the most hilarious poster on my Facebook page, with his brilliant wit making people laugh all around the world.

We had some lovely catch ups with friends, in Bath and most memorably in Cornwall, walking along the beach in a place he and Anna clearly loved. Their wedding day was so beautiful, and I particularly enjoyed how much attention Neal had put into the massive fireworks display, which was Epic! I was so lucky to share their anniversary boat trip to Durdle Door and beyond on a glorious August day. Neal loved being generous with his friends, it was wonderful to be a part of.

I moved to Australia for five years, and Neal and Anna stayed in touch. We all had a wonderful catch up at Vinny at Six one time I was back visiting. We sat and chatted around all subjects,  putting the world to rights and laughing together as if no time had passed, I loved it.

I loved seeing Neal and Anna setting up their little home from home in Salisbury Fields, such an idyllic setting and their place had such a welcoming and warm feeling.  We had a terrific catch up at the Kings Arms this summer, bumping into the Brotherwood family,  who we both know,  it was a great Dorch old school evening. I had a spontaneous beer with Neal here in Poundbury one sunny evening this summer.  He was really contented and relaxed.

I will really miss Neal making me laugh at the world,  and mainly at myself.  He was a joy to be around with his anecdotes and unique spin on life.  More than that he was a real friend, checking in on me and with Anna giving me great support in challenging times.

This website is a wonderful way to remember how awesome he was, and how good it felt to be around him both in person and virtually, no matter what else was going on in our worlds.
