Anyone who knows Neal knows that he loves pyrotechnics.

This started at an early age, when Alan recorded in his diary that Neal had ‘burned Clare’s hair with a match’. 

Later in life, Neal loved any excuse to fire rockets and fireworks. I vividly remember him when arranging fireworks for our wedding asking the pyrotechnics company if we could have our 12 minutes of display released in 6 minutes for more impact….

Setting off fireworks on the beach became an annual holiday fixture. On one such occasion in Rock, a rocket careered off horizontally down the beach rather than vertically. You can see the results in the attached video. (please excuse the expletive from a young Jack at the end….). Thankfully there  was no-one home at the time…..
